Members are reminded that payment of subscriptions commits them to observing the Club Rules and the Regulations of which the following are particularly important for the running of the club:
It is members responsibility to ensure that, before they play, they ensure that the priority of court in use indicated in the net room (to avoid the overuse of some courts) is followed, and also that the correct net for the court is properly set up as indicated on the headband. At the end of play, if nobody is to use the court, the net should be taken down and put in its correct locker in the net room. The last member on the premises is responsible for ensuring that the clubhouse, net room and hard court are all locked up.
All members must display a current membership shoes tag and wear proper tennis clothing whilst playing and this must be predominantly white except in the case of tracksuits. Members wearing footwear, which in the opinion of a committee member, is unsuitable under the regulations, will be asked to leave the courts. The Committee has the power to suspend or exclude any member guilty of any breach of the Rules or Regulations.
Grass court play depends upon surface conditions. The hard court must not be used in very hot weather and may in certain circumstances be booked for coaching. For details see the notice board. Apart from this the Club is available for play at any time other than before noon on Sundays but it must be remembered that dew precludes play on the grass courts before 10:00am on any day. Members shall have the right to introduce visitors to the Club on payment of the appropriate fee £5.00 which must be paid before commencing play. Each visitor is allowed to play on a maximum of three occasions per season.
